post 5- The End

My reaction to the end was very interested and contempt, becuase the westrn world is so used to the good guys winning and getting the girl. But this story is that of a tragedy, where the good guy dies, loses the girl, and even the bad guy outlives the good guy. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the ending. Good to experience something not commonly experienced.

Entry 3-Iago's motivation

It's really hard to pinpoint what Iago's motives were, as there is little to no evidence as to what Iago was trying to accomplish. I can theorize, however, that Iago might've been jealous of Othello's succes as a General, his nobility, or even his positive associations with the Brabantio, and the fact that Brabantio held Othello very high as a person.
